Appeal Court rules: No bail for Nnamdi Kanu

Ayorinde Oluokun/Abuja

A three man panel of Court of Appeal led by Justice Abdul Aboki has just affirmed the judgement of Justice James Tsoho of Federal High Court denying Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra  and his two co accused bail.

The appellate court said the Federal High Court properly exercised its discretion judiciously and judicially in denying bail to  Kanu and two others being tried by the Federal Government for treason.

The appellate court in a unanimous judgement ruled that there was enough facts in the proof of evidence filed before the court to show that the appelaants do not deserve bail.
