The Reformed Niger Delta Avengers have named ex-President Jonathan, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Raymond Dokpesi and Tompolo as sponsors of the Niger Delta Avengers. According to a report by SaharaReporters, the splinter group known as Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA), claimed that immediate ex-President Jonathan was the grand patron of the NDA It was further reported that in a statement issued by Cynthia Whyte on Saturday, August 6, 2016,serving Governors that include Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa were also named as “sponsors” of the NDA.

Pulse Sports have heard from a source about the death of former Nigeria international, Peter Ogaba. Peter Ogaba is famous for being the youngest Nigerian player at the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted by Saudi Arabia in 1989 where Nigeria lost in the final to eventual winners, Portugal. He was also the youngest player to feature at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup at Canada '87. The source revealed that Ogaba died on Friday, August 5 at Asokoro General Hospital,  after a brief illness which started on Wednesday, August 3. Ogaba made Nigeria's Golden Eaglets team at the age of 13 before playing for a professional club. He had only played in the school team of Government Secondary School, Makurdi and was also in the state team. He trained with nearby NNPC corporate workers team before moving to a local club called NTA Waves in Makurdi.    A 55-year-old man has reportedly been arrested after marrying a six-year-old goat in return for a goat. The suspect, Seyed Abdolkarim, has been arrested after his marriage to a 6-year-old girl in Afghanistan.   The suspect, Seyed Abdolkarim , was arrested after the police recieved information that the middle aged man had married the young girl identified simply as, Gharibgol , in a religious ceremony in Afghanistan. Gharibgol was reportedly married off to Abdolkarim by her father, who has also been arrested by the police, in exchange for a goat as well as other food stuffs including rice, tea, sugar, and cooking oil. Following his arrest, Gharibgol's dad disclosed that he had been struggling with his family's upkeep, adding adding the marriage meant one less mouth to feed and gained food stuffs.
