Malia Obama was reportedly a guest at a wild party on Martha’s Vineyard that police ended up coming to break up last week. The 18-year-old is with parents President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle and sister Sasha on their final vacation as First Family on the Massachusetts island. Malia went to the party at the private home in West Tisbury near the presidential summer retreat, the Boston Herald reported, but was escorted home right as officers responded to a noise complaint. The Imo State Government has described as false the report that Governor Rochas Okorocha was slapped by a ghost and is in an Indian hospital for medical treatment. Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, the chief press secretary to Okorocha flatly denied that governor is sick. He also denied that the governor went to India for treatment. “The governor had travelled to meet with some of the investors who had invited him for further discussions on the prospects of their coming to invest in the State.  US Secretary of State John Kerry will travel next week to Kenya, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia on a three-nation tour focused on counter-terrorism, the State Department said Thursday. The top US diplomat arrives in Nairobi on Monday for talks with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on “regional security issues and counter-terrorism cooperation, as well as bilateral issues,” State Department spokesman John Kirby said. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday said it had concluded arrangements to hold its next technical meeting on admissions at the Bayero University in Kano. The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said in Lagos that it would hold from Aug. 22 to Aug. 26. Benjamin said that the meeting would receive the lists of candidates who had met the admission criteria from the various tertiary institutions for its ratification. An Abuja-based man Adamu Asaph was today arraigned before a Grade One Area Court in the Federal Capital Territory for allegedly stealing two packs of condom valued at N3,000. According to the prosecutor, A. Z. Dalhatu, the condoms were property of Society for Public Health which were kept in the company’s custody.  Asaph was arraigned on a one count charge of theft by servant contrary to Section 289 of Penal Code. The accused person, Asaph, denied the charges. The presiding judge, Sadiq Abubakar, released the accused on bail in the sum of N5,000 and a surety that resides within the court’s jurisdiction. The case was adjourned to September 5th.
